Our RSD 2021 best record shop competition winning design is revealed.
Union Music Store was nominated as this years winner.
To celebrate Record Store Day 2021 we ran a fun competition asking record store customers to nominate their favourite UK record shop and explain why they feel they are the best. We had some fantastic entries and it demonstrated just how important record stores are to people and the community. The passion for music, shared knowledge and the social aspect of visiting physical stores can’t be beat and it is wonderful to see this industry thriving.
We are delighted that our winner Andy Washington entered ‘Union Music Store’ as his favourite record shop. Andy submitted a great image and said "my favourite is Union Music Store. Here we see the co-owner sharing his passions of music to a customer. The Sutton branch shares a space with a venue & cafe. Together they are bringing back music to the high street".
We created two bespoke Planar 2 turntables printed with an image of the store. One for the winner and one for the store. We loved hearing why people felt their store was the best as much as we enjoyed creating the winning turntable design.
